Meet Mrs. Chappell

I grew up in a small town just north of Chicago, Illinois.  I graduated from Round Lake Senior High in 1991.  A few years later, I joined the United States Navy and I served for almost four years.  I was stationed in Yorktown, Virginia and Gulfport, Mississippi as a Disbursing Clerk.  During my time in the Navy I traveled overseas and made life-long friends.

My husband and I have been married for over 18 years and we have two beautiful children, Joey and Kate.  They were my inspiration to go back to school in 2005.  I graduated in 2007 with my Associates of Arts from Collin County Community College.  In 2010, I earned my Bachelors of Arts and Science with a major in English and a minor in Education from Texas A&M University- Commerce.  While attending college full time, I was a Cub Scout Den Leader for 4 years.

I like to keep busy and my favorite hobbies include hanging out with my friends and family, cross stitch, scrapbooking, and READING!  My passion is teaching and I love working with children.
